2009 Chateau Lamothe Guignard
Tasting Note:
The Lamothe-Guignard 2009 is noticeably deep in color appearing remarkably mature for a 2009 with its deep honeyed glaze. The bouquet is more Semillon dominated than Sauvignon Blanc offering tightly wound scents of beeswax barley sugar dried honey and a faint chlorophyll note (a trait that I usually associate with mature Sauternes.) The palate is very well- balanced with a viscous very honeyed and pure entry. It does not possess the complexity one might demand from a 2009 although it is clean and fresh towards the botrytis-rich finish. Drink now-2030. Source: eRobertParker.com
