The 2007 Barolo Bricco Pernice from the heart of Ravera is a ripe fleshy wine very much in the style of the year. Layers of dark red fruit flowers and spices caress the palate through to the rich resonant finish. The 2007 boasts incredible depth and sheer gravitas. Layers of flavor build to the sumptuous seamless finish. This is a bold in-your-face Barolo that will drink well right out of the gate. Three years in cask may have been a bit much for a wine that was so flashy from the outset. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022. Source: Wine Advocate
